Why can't damn colleges tell us if we got in earlier?

4 of my good friends just got into stanford on early decision. I didn't apply early cause I didn't want to be locked in (haha yea right, i think I have a better chance in regular, these 4 guys are HELLA smart + lots of extra carricular). But the waiting is killing me! 3-4 more months to know!

I applied:
Stanford
MIT
Carnegie Mellon
Duke
Northwestern
Emory

2-3 more months of darkenss, curse the application process
- but at least I'm done w/ apps

I know what you mean. When I applied for college, I applied in October and didn't find out until April. I didn't apply anywhere else so I was really sweating it.

cuz half of the fun is waiting. :Q

plus the fact that applications go through quite a few committees at the really selective schools before they make a final decision. that and they want your first semester grades in high school to factor in to that decision.
