Why can't all games look like this

I've been looking around 3D Mark 2000, and I just wondered, why can't games look as good as this? without taxing our computers sooo much? take a look.

There will be a game that looks like that, it's called Max Payne(both use the same engine, MaxFX).

When are all these cool looking games comeing out!? I meen with everyone getting high end video cards and cpu's we need some games to match.
