why can't a run the timedemos on quake3?

everytime i try, it just takes me back to the main screen and says "failed to load dll, looking for qvm" in the drop down menu thingy.

Are you running the 1.25 patch? Because AFAIK, timedemos don't work with that patch installed...

Try downgrading to 1.17? You might need to reinstall Quake 3 to do this...not sure
