As long as you're on public property, you can take pictures of anything you want, anywhere, and it's not illegal. Privacy rights are bullshit. Who fucking cares if someone snaps your picture when you're walking along the sidewalk or snaps it from 100 miles above the surface? People need to pull the sticks out of their ass and mind their own business what doesn't affect them.

TEH NOEZ SOMEONE HAS MAH PICTAR

The camera doesn't have high enough resolution to pick up a human with any discernible details. It's the same reason you can't see all of the shit we left behind on the moon with an earth bound telescope. The cameras just don't have the detail.

Tell that to cops in NYC, I'm sure they'll get a good laugh as they do a Mortal Kombat fatality move that seperates lens from camera the hard way.

If they do, their department is buying you a new lens, a new camera, or both depending on what gets broken. There is no law against photography in public places. They also cannot legally require you to delete photographs or surrender film.

Look at urban areas on google maps/earth. You can see people easily. You can't see any detail but the people are very visible. Look at NYC for instance. People all over the street and sidewalks. Also, you can clearly see and possibly make out people from google's street view.

I can't wait to see google's new high res camera system.
