Why can you buy reading glasses at CVS for $10, but no one ever carries cheap glasses for nearsightedness?

I spent $125 for the frame and $50 for the lenses on my glasses. My prescription is constantly changing so I always have to change the lenses. The frame I have now is pretty bent up so I need a new one. Why can't I get any for cheap?!?!

You usually need a custom prescription for nearsightedness, since each eye has a slightly different shape.

Not mine. I just need -2.75. I'm currently at -2.50 right now and it's too weak.

I spent less then $40 shipped for my glasses and frames. And later my wife and oldest will get a pair and I will get a set as sunglasses.

Had the prescription checked once I got them and they were spot on. Had them in my hands in less then a weeks time as well.

Full package with the coating and clip on shade. I believe it was around $38 shipped for them. Best pair of glasses I have ever owned. Light as a feather, came with a nice case and cloth, easy to clean with soap and water. Cant you tell how happy I am

My Walmart Optical Center has frames for as low as $18.
