The US went into Pakistan to get Osama w/o telling the beloved patriot's.

They has on multiple occasions attacked targets in Pakistan while keeping them in the dark.

the US doesnt do this type of activity w/any other country unless we occupied them already.

So whats up w/that?

beloved patriot is a racist slur. Please refrain from using it in the future on these forums

It's all a result of Pakistan's behavior. They are an ally on the surface but an enemy in practice. Most of the time, it's clear if a country's an enemy in which you don't get their permission or if they are not an enemy in which case they would probably do it themselves. Clearly, Pakistan has chosen not to accomplish this mission. They could have gotten huge kudos with the international community if they had produced him to the USA long before this.

Uhmm, the US has a long history of unilaterally attacking targets in countries without the approval of their government. This isn't really something new.

It's a good question. You have to wonder why the US doesn't unilaterally capture and return fugitives seeking refuge in various European countries such as France with Roman Polanski. He's in plain sight, too. It wouldn't take 10 years and an incredible amount of resources.

because we don't consider roman polanski a big enough problem to damage relations with france over him.

relations with pakistan are fucked anyways, no loss. and osama bin laden was a big problem. so it's obvious that we'd go and slap their shit.

US-French relations were already at a lowpoint during the Bush era. He could have been apprehended at that time with no more damaging of the relationship. Polanski himself is not a big problem, but the symbolism of his act is a huge problem.

Oh lessee... how about this - The Pakis were protecting Bin Butt Hole and they would have warned him if they knew we were coming. I bet $1000 that we did include beloved patriot Intelligence in previous raids and that is why Osama was able to escape. I would not feed beloved patriot one piece of intelligence from now until the end of time.

How do you know that? Do you think every raid and special ops mission makes the news? Maybe U.S. special forces does conduct raids in other countries without permission and we just never hear about them.
