Why can Osama produce videos during the presidential election and not now?

He ran his campaign on fear

now his supporters will say... that we need a stronger presence in the ME if we are ever to capture Osama

He has convinced people that the only way to do things is with bombs and 100's of billions of dollars

2) Osama and Bush are enemies, but Osama's people are really Bush's people and release videos when he needs the boost
3) Osama and Bush are enemies, and Osama's people try to release the videos but Bush's stranglehold over the media and Internet is just that good
4) Osama is captured and they force him to make videos when Bush needs one
5) Osama is dead and they use CGI to make fake videos when Bush needs one

Since the videos are provided by the Arabic news media, then it must mean that he slips into the West on Bush's invite to make the videos and then distributes then via the Arabic stations.

Because if the videos were provided by the West, then it would be Bush and company that is producing then on an as needed basis and publishing them.

Many in the US and world felt that a weakness of Bush was that he could not get OBL and should not have turned toward Iraq. Kerry was one that was implying the OBL should have been the priority.

By exposing Bush's weakness in performing this object (essientaly thumbing his nose at Bush & US) via the vids, OBL may have been attempting to encouraging the removal of Bush and putting in place Kerry and the Dems (who were acting more like Doves). He was trying to show weakness in the admin. Similar to what was happening with Carter/Iran

Bush's initiatives were making it more difficult for OBL's people to move around; remove/weaken those policies through a change of admin could benefit OBL.
