Why can I OC my TBird w/o messing with the golden bridges?

I just dropped my TBird 700 onto a KT7-raid, and I can change both FSB and multiplier! I'm using a so-so fan, so I have heat problems above 875 (103*8.5), but those bridges are untouched! Has anyone else had this happen? Is it a function of the MB? Did I get an odd chip? The die definately has a blue tint to it. Does that make it capable of hitting 1GHz, or is the blue=1GHz story I keep hearing BS?

No - I definately see :::II:: looking connections (This is not the layout - I am typing from work). They don't appear to be connected.
