Why can I get 7.5, 9.0, and 9.5 multiplier but not 8.0 or 8.5?

Duron 700 unlocked with loctite stuff. Voltage is set at 1.825 (bios says 1.85). I had it running at 936 (9x104) yesterday, and when I used it today it had reset itself to a 7.0 multiplier. I thought I'd back it off to 8.0 or 8.5 for stability but I can't get these multipliers to work. It shows 7.0 and 7.5 when set at 8.0 and 8.5.

Also, at what point should I start to mess with the Vio voltage? It's at default 3.4 now.

For the multiplier problem, it sounds like you may have missed or crossed one of the bridges when doing the loctite job. Look over your work and try again.

As for the VIO voltage, you can leave it the same. The only reason why you may want to increase it is if your video card or something like that is causing instability. However, it still may not run stable if you up it.

recheck you L1s and then you can up the volts to 1.875 just be sure to watch your temps.

I re-did my bridges with the help of a magnifying glass and the multipliers work perfectly now. Thank-you for the advice.:)

I used fingernail polish remover and a Q-tip. Then I used some rubbing alcohol to clean the area before I re-applied the conductive paint.

There are 4 pins that are toggled to ge a certain multiplier. they are .5x, 1x, 2x, 4x with the .5, 1, and 2 mult's turned off and the 4x turned on, you'll get 7x so it's seems like the 1x multplier isn't connected correctly. From what I remember, it's the second bridge. if you can get 9.5, the .5x, 2x, and 4x mult settings are working correctly. My ultimate guess is that you shouldn't be able to get 10x or 10.5x.
