I got to keep all my wisdom teeth. Had I gotten braces as my parents wanted when I was younger, my wisdom teeth would have needed to be pulled, but as it is they pushed my other teeth into alignment when they came in. I think that a lot of the problems with wisdom teeth now are caused by people having had braces when they were younger.

Its really not that bad, I mean it feels like your head is 50lbs but other than that its fine. After you get home from the dentist, lay down with ice packs on each side, relax the rest of the day. After the numness(sp?) wears off your mouth will feel VERY tight, mine is right now but its not a pain like if you have had braces before, after getting them put on or tightened, its constant pull and pain, nothing like that.

Atleast for me it wasnt.

It took me 15 minutes to chew up a piece of deer meat with my front teeth:(

But the mac n cheese w/ potatoes n gravy are doing me good!!!

Ya, what a boon for dentists. Look on the bright side, you're finally old enough to enjoy the gas, novacain and vicadin.

I didn't get any cool drugs (besides novicane) when I had my wisdom tooth (singular, I only had one) removed. Probably since I only had one of the suckers, it wasn't a big deal. I was in a lot of pain though. No fun.

The 3 bridges I've gone through weren't fun either. First two broke. Suck.

There's a difference between the two?

Everyone says "Look on the bright side..." so I might as well say it too.

Look on the bright side :D, at least you don't have 5 baby teeth and 4 wisdom teeth at age 22. Gee, I can't wait for that lil' dental escapade to partake in my mouth. The fun part is that my insurance refuses to cover most of it. Ohh well, I have a Dremal, some free time, and a high pain threshold. Open up :p

I don't have wisdom teeth. There aren't even little nubs there on Xrays.

This is probably due to your visiting Pa and Grandma Fausto up near Chernobyl in your childhood days
