Why buy DC opteron?

Something faster / better / larger will always be coming out next year, so it usually makes sense to wait until you need more speed or size before you buy anything.

If the quad cores are given away for free by AMD, then I'm not sure why anyone would buy a dual core now. If they end up not being free, then...

Face it man, its impossible stay on the cutting edge ALL the time.

And if you keep looking over the horizon and comparing all the cool stuff to come with current hardware you'll NEVER be able to justify upgrading.

Get what you need now, and if you need more later, get it later.
