It's interesting that he would say that considering the Democrats explicitly didn't do that eight years ago. I think the Democrats SHOULD have, but they didn't.

Oh, and by 'interesting' I mean he's a moron and has probably forgotten that even happened... assuming he knew about it to begin with which is debatable.

I agree with Trump actually, Senate should switch to 51 votes. Then Medicare for all can pass with 51 votes and more seats added to SCOTUS with 51 votes too.

It really says a lot about Obama that in more than 9 years on the national scene, he only gave you guys one major misspeak to use against him. And you all still threw it against him all the time.

Never mind that Trump lies about everything.

You know I almost put that remark in my post as snark, as that it's the go-to (maybe only) example of Obama saying something dumb just for context...

At least Obama made a poorly spoken comment during a campaign stop. (Was this a reference to number of primaries and caucuses?...)

But this suggests Trump doesn't understand his own legislative strategy for his major agenda items, let alone basics of how Congress works. Plus he has a whole communications team that could check his writing before he posts...

Sadly, this barely even registers on Trump's scale of stupid shit he says. Even for just this week.

I disagree on the move to only require 51 votes for important issues. Believe it or not I think the GOP Healthcare bill should not pass in its current state. In many ways it is worse than the ACA.

You should definitely continue voting for people that create legislation you hope doesn't pass. Much better than voting for shithead liberals.
