Sometimes I read a whole thread like this, and I'm to drained to reply. I feel for you, but you need to calm down. Its only a TV in the end, you will have many over your lifetime. Overemotional responses in life don't get resolved as well as a well thought out logical response. It helps to talk to someone who can help you plan out a plan of attack like stonecold3169. Anyway, GL with this.

Best Buy may somtimes screw people over, but this is completely inaccurate information ... Christmas gift purchases from almost every store can be returned until at least 14 days after the holiday. (at least here in Connecticut)

Edit: Also I've been treated very well every time I've shopped at my local Best Buy stores ... in fact they've bent over backwards to help me out more then once & have been unfailingly polite while doing it.

I realize this isn't the popular thing to say here on AT but its 100% truth.

It's now about an hour after the end of the promised delivery range of 1-5 PM. Hope the OP is already enjoying his long-awaited TV.

Seriously? How terrible...

Oh wait, Best Buy extended the R/E period beginning Nov 1st to January 31st this year on EVERY PRODUCT IN THE STORE.

Check your facts before you go running off at the mouth about something you clearly do NOT understand or are NOT educated on.

Thank you.

I kid you not I have gotten a Best Buy MOD fired before under 5 minutes. Hell, last time I was in Best Buy I fvkcing ripped their faces apart and walked out the door with $700 in my pocket no questions asked.

Customers go to Best Buy for Best Buy to profit of them, when I go to that piece of sht Best Buy, I am the one making the profit.
When I walk into my local BB they know they are about to be dominated, especially after I got that piece of sht MOD fired, no one dares to argue with me they just know I am right and bend over before me.

Do yourself a favor and stop buying stuff from places that treat you like sht mmkay? Especially if you don't know how to punch assholes and liars in the face.

If you got a MOD fired in 5 minutes that was a pretty crappy MOD and I'm sure it was not your situation alone that resulted in that individual leaving the company.

Oh, and they're not afraid of you, just so you know.

QFT, and the total documentation at Day #1 shows you probably knew it would end like this.

Still if you wanted top notch service with the cafe au lait, Best Buy was not your answer; even if they have a 'high end' personna.

As soon as they told you they couldn't do something you knew was possible, I'd have gotten another employee or came back/go to another store.

How expensive is this TV? A year of free financing is better than $125 back up front?

That whole line was bullshit anyway. You can use the reward zone in combination with any payment method.

The TV is ~ $2000.

Ouch the 46" Aquos will be $998 on BF....

TV arrived as scheduled! I'm still setting everything up. Only flaw might be a bit of couldiness in the top-left (a common issue - see avsforums), but am otherwise A-OK.

That said, the manager of all managers was supposed to ring me up after the TV was delivered and still hasn't. Needless to say I'll be buzzing him up tomorrow.

man. good to hear you got your stuff.

bottom line at least, you were in a good position - worst situation, you could have just returned everything.
