Why aren't there more cars that are blue?

I've always wondered this. Many people like the color blue or have it as their favorite color. But you don't often see many blue cars on the road. And not many cars come in cool blue colors. Most are like sky blue or something, which looks okay...but not that cool. BMW had a nice blue color.

I don't know, I guess i just really like blue and wish there were more blue colors. I see a lot of cars in ugly colors like brown or yellow or dark green.

Here's some I've found
bmw
bmw2
350z
subaru
mazda 6

I would venture to guess that just about every car made is available in some shade of blue. If you like that shade of blue or not is a different story.

On a side note, I'm not sure that most people really truely care about the color of their car.

Maybe because a full vehicle being blue would be too overpowering. Then again, not all vehicles look good in blue.

Blue truck? Yes. Blue sedan? Not so much.

My 2005 RSX-S is Vivid Blue Pearl. I get compliments all the time, even after driving it around for 2 years.

80% of every vehicle on the road is silver these days. It doesn't take much to be different.

Blue can be a really cool color on bigger cars, trucks, suvs, and the like but on a small car it looks cheap (unless done properly such as the pictures you posted). Also blue, like black is a color that shows dirt and dust more than others, which is why I would say you see a lot of silver cars on the road.

VW makes a nice mid-night blue, but it's so dark it's almost black. My tC is dark blue, but not to the point of black. It's called Nautical Blue Metalic.

Electron Blue Pearl on the 99-00 Si is one of my favorite colors.
Only some cars look good in blue.

I hate that shade of blue. If I was going to get a blue car, it'd have to be darker. But if I got dark blue I might as well get black.

This thread reminds me of the Dishwalla song Counting Blue Cars.

thats something I haven't considered...how they would look with dirt or dust on them. I guess that makes sense with silver.

What is the obsession with being "different"?

I have this.

It;s a nice color and is actually very common. My across the street neighbor just bought a 2007 with the exact same color.

best blue is this too bad the only car you can find it on are crappy cars liek the old solara, old corolla and the Lexus RX suv.

My mass-produced car is a relatively uncommon variation of the million or so they made. :D

Ditto. Though I'm getting sick of questions about the body kit from US ricers. :p

Brazen Orange

Yeah I like my SRM. Almost burgundy under low light, has an orange-red tint under bright light.

I can't believe they offered red and blue leather interiors on the red & blue cars :disgust: Ugh!

My gf wouldn't let me get a blue car anyway, she thinks it makes them look "cheap," like "toys."

That's the most well lid parking garage I've seen in my life. And that car looks Gold rather than the specified color.

Its one of those colors that seem to change from lighting conditions. One of my friends have one in that color and on a bright day it is a very deep orange. At night under artifical light it shifts to more gold.
