Why aren't there any lightning connector FM transmitters?

I had a pretty good and cheap 30 pin FM transmitter for the old apple products. Upgraded to the lightning products. There isn't anything like that for lightning products, or, it is outlandishly expensive. I bought the 30 pin for under $10.

Is it a licensing thing? Some inherent restriction?
