god, i thought ironduke was stupid. nVidia will release the det 4's when they feel like it. there is no reason for them to have been released by now, as there is no vid card currently out that competes with the geforce3. the radeon8500 will change all that, and nVidia will need the release of the det 4's (coinciding with the ti geforces) to take some steam out of ATi's release.

Well if you ask me and I could be wrong (it did happen once before hehe) I think both powervr and nvidia are waiting for the official release of directx v8.1 from microsoft. Just my thoughts on the delay, maybe microsoft have changed something at the last minute and the drivers have to be altered, who knows?

nvidia are currently optimising their dx implementation of the det4 drivers, as benchmarks on their initial announcement showed certain games dropped severely in performance (eg. Giants).

However the prospect of Q3 at 100fps on a gf3 at 1600x32 is mouth-watering 😀..
