Why aren't movies showing up on TV?!

I connected my computer to my TV and everything works fine, but when I play a movie using media player or anything else, all I see is a black screen on my TV, but I see the movie playing on my computer. Anyone know what is wrong? I am using S-Video to S-Video and a Radeon 8500.

This is just from the top of my head but... check to see if "overylays" is enabled or not.

If you have WinXP.. the option should be under "Tools".. then the performance tab .. then the advanced button

I have your answer, cause I had the same problem. The movie will only show up on the primary display. You have to make the TV the primary display under the Display tab in the Advanced section under Display settings in you Display properties(Right-Click on desktop and goto properties). Make sure the Small blue box with the big dot next to the TV icon is depressed. Also make sure the small blue box with 2 "screens" in it next to the monitor icon is depressed.

wait.... you mean in the display menu? or START : SETTING : CONTROL PANEL : ADMINISTRATIVE TOOLS : PERFORMANCE
