Why are webpages messed up in my firefox?

A lot of websites--ESPN, Facebook, Yahoo!, will display the plain text without any of the formatting, with the spacing screwed up, no columns, images, etc. Sometimes the websites are fine, sometimes they're not, but if I load them in IE there's no problem. I'm sure it's just a setting or driver problem somewhere but I can't figure it out. Thanks for the help.

For example, ESPN is messed up: http://i36.photobucket.com/alb.../knicknut/messedup.jpg

It looks like you have CSS and/or JavaScript turned off. Try View->Page Style>smalltext, and also see if JS or anything else is disabled. If you have Web Developer Toolbar installed there's some key combination that disables CSS as well (that I frequently mash by accident).

Hmm, thanks for the response, but I haven't been able to fix it. Javascript is turned on, I'm not sure about CSS. I can choose view->page style->smalltext on this window, but if I switch to one of the messed up sites, my only choices are "Basic Page Style" or "No Style". And I don't have Web Developer Toolbar installed (I'm certainly not a web developer).

Would appreciate any and all suggestions.

Adblock, Download Statusbar, Forcastfox, Tab Mix Plus. I've tried disabling all of them, didn't help.

Search Firefox Profiles in google and go to the link from Mozilla's site on How to Manage Profiles. Try creating a new one and see what happens.

Thanks, it looks like my profile was corrupted or something was wrong... weird. I have to rebuild my cookies and addons, but at least the problem seems to be gone--thanks!
