Why are we willing to allow people to starve on the streets while Republicans sit on their rich fat asses denying COVID relief?

I can't believe these idiots are talking about Pelosi having nice shit when she is the one trying to get more help to more people. Like you have to be a vagabond to be on the right side of history. They are such smallminded disphits. Utterly devoid of critical thinking skills when it comes to politics or social issues.

Why? Because it took a new president, and it WILL be fixed.
No it won't be fixed, The Biden administration will put on a dog and pony show telling you how glad you need to be that Trump is gone while putting in the same establishment charlatans that created the situation that enabled someone like Trump to get elected,

because it is much easier to promise free things, hang out with celebrities, sports stars and all the other woke social justice warriors than taking on the rich liberal technocrats and oligarchs who destroy the little that is left of the working middle class including what's left of the unions that the Democrat party threw overboard over 30 years ago, so they to can eat at the corporate pig trough like the republicans they despise so much, instead of actually fixing the things that created the mess in this country in the first place.

And I will start off with the main reason, all those expensive environmental, labor and wage rules and regulations you like to harp about as some sort of feather in the cap of the democrat party you will gladly bypass through outsourcing, hiring illegals, h1b's, etc. in effect destroying the middle class so you can feed your selfish consumerism desires at the cheapest price possible,

yet many of you woke liberals will cry slavery/exploitation if you had to work under the conditions of those same people you have no problem of not just exploiting, for cheap prices, but also rationalizing it like you are doing them a favor by giving them jobs you would refuse to do yourself while pointing fingers at those evil republican conservatives as the bane of all your woes.

Your solution: vote for the oligarchs who want to be aristocrats and who only ever pass tax cuts for themselves.

Keep on keepin' on, cuck.

Its not just Republicans who stalled relief. The WH prosed a 1.1Trillion package that Pelosi refused, and now today theyre working on a 900+Billion deal, half of what the WH wanted. Makes no sense. Sen. Dick Durbin Admits Democrats Turned Down Coronavirus Relief ‘Because an Election Was Coming’ - AIR.TV

That was on CNN.

It's sadly a reflection of how entirely fucked up both of our parties are.

Democrats threw up their $3.2T barf-bill of loaded shit. They put it up because they knew Republicans wouldn't blanket pass it.
Republicans responded with $2.2T response that cut it down to $2.2T. Wasn't passed because Pelosi. She clearly wanted nothing passed until the election was decided.

Since then it's been back and forth - with a lot of it a reflection on the election.

Democrats are now magically ready to go to back to the $2.2T offered by Republicans - but only after an election was decided in Democrat favor for President next year.
Republicans naturally don't care anywhere near as much - since nothing will be reflected on Republicans because Americans are stupid and attribute everything to the "party in power"

Just goes to show how we need to take all politicians out to pasture and get a refresh.

Focus less on the numbers and more on in what's in them. Idea, go look at the proposals and then make judgments. But that is harder than reading/watching a 5 minute blog from someone online.

We'd just vote the same kind of assholes right back in. What we need is a whole new kind of voter. That might or might not happen when everybody is starving.

Trump tried to get another stimulus passed. The left, Nancy Pelosi specifically, wouldn't let it go through because it would look good on Trump. She even admitted as much.

Those miles of cars in lines for food handouts are hardly homeless

Six THOUSAND families line up in their cars for hours at a food bank in San Antonio | Daily Mail Online
What if all those people got out of their cars and started a communal garden.

But this is my point. We get the politicians we deserve. If we can't be bothered to research the issue, what does our vote actually matter?

And no, it wasn't just about the number, it was about what composed the number. The white house wanted dollars with less restrictions on how it was spent amongst other things. Pelosi wanted the money to go to direct places i.e PPP for school reopenings, money for Rental assistance, etc. etc. And at this stage in the pandemic why should anyone have trusted the White House on what it did with the money.

It's exactly like these new negotiations. The white house came out with a proposal that was a little more (916b I beleive). But that money had no money for unemployment assistance instead it gave a 600 direct payment to everyone. Are those two proposals the same? No, but you will say Pelosi declined a higher offer.. blah blah blah.

Our country's failure to effectively reduce a large portion of homelessness is lack of mental illness care and housing. Been that way for decades.
While mental illness is disproportionately high in the homeless population, the majority of the homeless are not mentally ill.

As someone in the mental health field, I welcome all energy put towards mental health issues, I just don't like when mental illness becomes the blanket label fo all things bad (gun violence, homelessness, crime, etc).

Bullshit. Mitch told trump he didn't have the R votes for the white house proposal that Mnuchin was working with the dems on.

As usual you just pass on bullshit, hurting our country by being so uninformed.

Democrats had an original 4T bill and met Republicans close to the middle. Then Republicans refused to negotiate
Besides why is Mitch McConnell too much of a coward to let the Democrats bill be voted on? If Republicans are standing by their principles then vote no.
