why are vid cards so BIG/LONG?

The length of the card is usually related to the TDP. The more heat to dissipate, the bigger the area you need. Also I don’t consider any card that doesn’t overhang an ATX motherboard to be long.

Longer card = longer e-pen? Well. Sometimes it feels like it when I see members who run quad sli/crossfire with high end cards and game at 1080p....
