don't buy the expensive stuff. Axe is basically overpriced garbage. Have no idea why people purchase that stuff.

Stick with generics, or I tend to pick up Suave products at Target. They're probably ghetto or something, I imagine they test their products on dolphins and poodles, but it's cheap as freaking hell. check it out.

Learn to shop smart by using coupons and coupling those with sales @ CVS, Walgreens, etc. It's pretty easy to get personal care items, OTC drugs, and other sundries for very little OOP (out of pocket) or even for FREE.

Or ... marry / date a woman who knows how. :D

PS - Over the years since I started being very cost conscious, I've saved thousands this way. Makes a huge difference. Also makes my man really happy. It means more $$ for our geeky techie stuff. :)

Yeah, the name brand stuff is starting to work its way up on the dermatology department too. Anything at the dollar mart is kinda iffy IMO.

Read up slickdeals or those deal sites. There has been times where I got stuff like Suave products and coupons for up to $7 worth for free that works at almost any store. Unsure about how it works in Canada, tho.

So if you use bodywash, do you use it with a loofah while listening to conservative talk radio?

Cologne: $50-$100 a bottle are the big gotchas.

I see that sometimes and am like "Hmm..."

I don't own a drop of that shit... Too expensive and usually just stink anyways.

Only one I've considered before is Sex Panther.

I don't buy Axe FYI. I was just pointing out how absolutely ridiculous it is that people would pay $7.50 for deodorant. As a matter of fact, I detest Axe. How they get away with charging extra money for an "axe detailer" which is essentially a $1.00 body sponge is ridiculous.

I do find it amusing how people here are basically "bar soap or nothing". As has been pointed out, face wash contains chemical ingredients targeted for certain purposes (like salicylic acid).

I also understand the economics behind it, but it is just absolutely ridiculous that even the no-name brand is only like $0.50 cheaper (for the Canadians here, I am talking about Shoppers Drug Mart btw).

Shopper's has generally been more expensive than most other places, though they have been better recently and seem to put things on sale more often than they used to.

I still say all of that crap is waste of money though, unless you have some sort of dermatological issues. /shrug
