England is at a lower altitude, thus closer to the core of the earth, which is where gravity comes from, so it make sense that stuff would be heavier. It's actually further from Jupiter, if it was closer it would be at a higher altitude it would be getting sucked towards Jupiter.

On serious note though, Jupiter is super bright lately, can see it in the sky late at night.
