The 2nd link explains it but brings up another point...Sometimes people *do* just want their car to look good, and sometimes they do not care about how fast it is. However, most people are under the impression that everyone that makes their car look good is a "rice-boy." My friend Brandon for example, he has a 1990 Eagle Talon TSi AWD which he wants to look good, he doesn't care if it gets any faster or slower. However he is not about to use general ricey additives, but he is planning on a body kit, wheels, and a new paint job (not changing color). Ofcourse he's very poor and will probably never get the mods, he can always dream; no harm in that.
