Why are there so many timestamp errors all of a sudden lately?

the top post is not the original poster.....chiawa is the original poster and hes second in line. he should be on top.

Trust me,

Zuni has better things to do than to listen to your non-stop whining. Does it bother you that much that their is a timestamp error. Leave all the Forums Issues to the Anandtech Technical Staff, and dont worry about it. Since when were you guys the moderators-in-training or the forum nazis?

If you are not old enough to remember who and what nazis were, or you do not have family who was affected by them, or if you are unaware of evil done by those who claim that name, today, you may not understand that for many of our members, the specific reference to nazis has a much deeper and more sinister meaning than I believe you intended.

Please consider your choice of words in the future.

Thank you,

WTF is this all about? are ppl not allowed to ask questions? why have a forum issues section then? and i take offense to being called a Nazi.

hrm.. Perhaps someone needs to install ntp...

or perhaps not, that would be the first thing I'd check though. 😉

A server may be out of synch, we do use time synching software but some of the time servers have issues where they aren't available thus causing a server to go out of synch. Blame the time servers not us or the software. Thanks.

Easily fixed, run a time daemon on one of machines in the cluster. I do this for our web cluster, and it works well. Then you just update that single machines time once in a while with a "real" timeserver. All that matters is the clusters being sync'ed exactly. 🙂

Ah well, gives you an idea if you havn't thought of it yet.
