Why are there so many people here who can't figure out the simplest things for themselves?

"Where is Scotland?"
"What is Dell's standard warranty on motherboards?"
"Is it too late to get a tuxedo?"
etc...

Any one of these questions can be anserwed in three minutes with google and/or a telephone. What prevents you from typing "scotland map" into google, or calling up your local department store that rents tuxes? You'd get your answer faster, and wouldn't look like an idiot.

Yeah, I've always had the sneaking urge to post a parody thread "Help! How do I wipe my ass?"...some threads asking for help can be just funny

Lazy people is all. Looking for a quick answer instead of searching on their own.

Most people on the planet are not smarter than a carrot.
Should their brains be implanted into a broccoli, they couldn't absorb water from the soil.

bingo. Sometimes getting feedback and suggestions is ok. I was looking for some software for my cell phone and needed suggestions on good sites, someone chimes in with "google it idiot" or something like that, which is what I've been doing all along, getting some pretty poor sites lots of the times. Other times people want info on things that are right there in front of them on the internet or can be found with a very simple search.

But it's not a quick answer.
Typing Google then ctrl+enter, then your search term, is quicker than typing out a new thread.
Also, with google you get instant results, you don't have to wait 5 minutes for people to reply to the thread.
