Why are there no Aopen motherboards that uses Ali chipset?

Has anyone else thought this strange? Acer Labs and Aopen are different branches of the company. So, it seems weird that there has never been an Aopen motherboard that uses chipsets from Acer Labs (ALi) -- instead they use Via chipsets.
