Why are there no 17" Ryzen 5 4xxx Laptops?

I've been looking and looking. It seems Ryzen 5 4xxxU Mobile CPUs outperform Intel at almost every turn but I cannot find a 17" laptop that contains one. I was looking for a 4500U - 4700U but biggest I can find is 15.6". Does this platform not support 17" chassis/screen? A little frustrating. If you know of one please point it out. Looking to spend around 700 to 800. GPU isn't that important. It's a productivity thang.

Vendors are just getting their feet wet this year with AMD mobile processors that are actually good. But then 17” product lines are the lowest volume of all, and companies are still wary of how many lines they dedicate to AMD lines. Add to that Corona virus, which had already caused global computer production to stagnate. It’s been a tough year for innovation.

The Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17ARE05 seems to be the only Renoir 17" laptop without a dedicated GPU. It's therefore lighter and cheaper for an otherwise similar configuration.
With a dedicated GPU there I could find the following models:
ASUS TUF Gaming A17 FA706II
Schenker XMG CORE 17
ASUS TUF Gaming A17 FA706IU
MSI Bravo 17 A4DDR
Lenovo Legion 5 17ARH

The thing to consider about the Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17ARE05 is that you can only get it with an 8GB configuration, 4GB 2400MHz soldered onboard RAM and a 4GB 2400MHz SO-DIMM module. All the other laptops listed have two RAM slots. Oh, and it also might not have a backlit keyboard, at least the manufacturer doesn't mention anything about it.

The IdeaPad 3 17” AMD model no longer exists. For whatever reason, it was shelved quickly in the last generation transition by Lenovo. You may be able to find a used one. The only current IdeaPad 3 is a 15” Intel (10th gen). Otherwise there’s last generation models with a 17” running Intel 8th gen or a 15” running AMD 3xxxU processors.

@heymrdj Here in Germany they are still available at various retailers.

When I checked the European Lenovo site last (because that’s the only location Lenovo actually released a 17” AMD model of any type), they showed that model wasn’t available anymore. There may very well be some stock in channels, depends on where OP lives in terms of ordering one, shipping/customs cost, and availability of a warranty.

Op didn't want that lol. He's looking for 17" Ryzen 5 with just onboard video.

I could have sworn I've seen some Asus VivoBook or WhateverBook with the new Ryzens and a 17 screen on sale... but not 100% sure.
