why are there no 16x CDRW?

Because the technology ain't there yet. It's all chemicals you see, and how long they need to be exposed to laser light to "flip" from a 1 to a 0. CD-R uses different chemicals which "flip" alot quicker.

So there.

hmm.. i thought technology too.. but i kinda thought, becasue the demand isn't there..

there isn't a "huge" demand for faster RW speeds than there is for a quick cd copy..(under cd-r)
 
who knows, but i wish they would come out with it, as i mostly burn cdrw..

hopefully there will be a day when i only burn cdrw...meaning, when cdrw media gets as cheap as cdr...
