Why are the prices on these cars so low?

Their inventory

I'm going in for a test drive on the TSX later, but I just went through their inventory and found some cars for an incredible value.

For example this Q45 that they're selling for $24,500, KBB is giving it a value of $37k.
Yes I know the Q45 resale is horrid, but this is a $12k difference!

Or this Lexus GS300 for $21.5k when book value is $28k.

It seems like everything is discounted $5-9k off book value.
I guess I'll find out if it's too good to be true when I get there.

This S2000 has caught my eye now

Edited title for better effect.

Do a check on their histories before you buy any of them.
Better to check for $40 or something to check rather than spend $22k and get screwed over.

yeah go to that area and you'll see why. North of the LIE (Long Island Expwy) are all the official dealerships. Then south of the LIE are people like these, Master's, and Royal, who have some high end cars, for decent prices. I know masters has access to the official MB auctions, and awesome balloon financing rates. The mantra at places like these are drive around in a 01 CL500 for $580 a month, then dump it. If you have a trusted mechanic, you should be fine.

They do look pretty damn low. '02 S2000 for $20k with reasonable mileage? Something has to be wrong with it.

Better run some history reports.

Well, I actually did go to take a look and the place, while shady looking, is legit.
It's basically a parking lot full of luxury cars and their office is a trailer.

I got the keys to look at the TSX but didn't get to test drive it because they would have had to move 5 cars to get it out the lot, and I wasn't seriously considering it unless they dropped the price.
They told me up front they could not budge on the price
But the price dropped $1k now because it obviously isn't selling at their asking price.
I doubt it will be sold even at $20.5k so I'm just going to wait for it to drop even more.
It's hard to move manual cars around that part of town - lots of stop-n-go traffic.

As far the TSX goes, it was in good condition, at least the interior.
Having never sat in one, I wasn't particularly impressed with the interior.
Seems to be only slightly nicer than an Accord, but I'm no dash stroker so that doesn't bother me.
