Why are the people in P&N not usually seen in OT?

I was recently visiting P&N and I've realized how it's like a completely different world. I go there and there are so many people I've never seen before, it's like anandtech has two worlds, P&N and OT+computers. I've been in general hardware, operating systems and the sort but have never seen the people in P&N for the most part in those sections. It's almost as if they joined anantech for JUST P&N!

I know P&N is frightening. I think it should be moved to another site. They are strange.

P & N used to be a decent forum with valid discussion of touchy topics, but it was mostly unregulated. As a result, name calling and personal attacks became the norm for every post, and it devolved into two camps that would try to "win" threads...

It was a glorious, peaceful epoch...that lasted until about fifteen seconds after the forum was open, then they started flinging feces at each other.

You have different typew of idiocy. The type thge is in P&N which partisan and the type that is in OT which is extremely juvenile (just search for all of the OP's threads and posts if you want a good example). You have Red Asses in P&N and Dumb Asses in OT.

Those were bad days. When P&N came into existance, OT became a much more pleasant place. At first I was unhappy, because a lot of 'interesting' political topics got discussed. The thing is they, still do, but now the mods have somewhere to dump them when they devolve into flame wars.
