Why are some people slobs and some people that are neat?

My father always keeps the inside of his car spotless. all cups/cans/paper/etc gets removed when he parks and exits.

i, on the other hand, have all sorts of junk in my car.

Same thing at work. Some co-workers are neat, and others have papers ALL OVER the place.

How come some people are slobs, and some are neat. And how to get myself to be neat as a habit?

sometimes has to do with the parents/how a kid grew up

if the mother was excessively neat , then the kid might be slob as rebellion

but sometimes it is random

In my experience, people tend to be quite similar to how they are raised (a clean house usually raises kids who want their houses clean, same goes for filthy houses). However, some people go to the exact opposite extreme (a mother that always cleans means the kids never learn to do the work and thus never do clean).

Because some people practice personal responsibilty to a higher level than others?

I am neat and clean to the point that sometimes it gets to be a hassle with it and two kids. I let the kids do as they wish while trying to teach them about picking up when your done etc. and basically try to keep on top of it. I am just one of those people that likes everything to be mostly organized and easily accessible. I dont like crumbs and dirt on the floor, dishes piled up in the sink, or mounds of clutter everywhere.

I dont consider it OCD-ish because its not ritualistic or overly repetitive behavior, its just the way I was brought up I guess.

I'm a mix bag. My room is usually semi-clean. My cubicle/workspace is semi-organize but my car is spotless. I can practically eat out of the ashtrays.

So are you implying that you made use of bad grammar deliberately? Is this because you wish people to percieve you as less intelligent and educated than you might actually be?

some people are lazy.. some care enough about not being slobs that they'll do what's necessary to not be.
