I posted a simple thread about what position I should take from my two job offers. Either I should I take position based on the company name or another positon based on experience for my future career development.

Lord behold, many people in the thread starts to say its a "bragging thread" or "by asking that question your employment will be retracted.

Some people even posted what school and grades i get. I replied without any hostility and just told the truth, and this member OVERKILL replied:

"Hi, Do you have a grading system based on 100 being the highest? Randy "

I just can't believe how bitter some people here are... *sigh*..

Obviously you haven't been here long. Being an ass is part of the anonimity of the internet, except all the asses gather here and duke it out.

Ugh, you changed your avatar to try to get away from all your earlier posts. You were posting like a jackass. It looks like you've learned to write in an intelligible way since then. Your title is still too long for this thread.

Anyway, based on your earlier posts, I've cleared the members for no more than 2 more weeks of continued abuse against you. Note that this is on condition that you continue to post in your present manner, and don't revert back to your earlier posting "style."

Also keep in mind that the only way people can judge you on the internet is how you present yourself. As such if you get a lot of negative feedback, then perhaps you should think back to how you presented yourself. Chances are it wasn't as "good" as you thought it was.

yep. don't make yourself a target because if you give a reason for people to flame you, they will. first a few will bite than it'll be like a feeding frenzy, it's like a tank of piranahs
 
People who put you down do so because they hate themselves and want to make you feel as bad. They will succeed if you are like them. People who need praise do so because they hate themselves and want the reassurance. We are all vacuum cleaners sucking on vacuum cleaners. Do not seek praise, do not seek love. Not true. You've must've not been on too many forums. It's far more rampant on these forums than the majority of the forums I've been on.

So true. One thing I see is whenever someone posts a thread about their parents, immediately they're a whiney 16 year old whose never going to be "good at life". They could be getting tortured by their parents and the response would be "you should be grateful they put up with your crap"

To be honest I don't think people even read threads anymore before posting their response 😉

Don't lose sight of the fact that anonymity provides for a relaxation of inhibitions and people act like they truly think regardless of their age.

Depends on what subjects you read about. AT being a tech forum is bound to attract people who think they're fucking geniuses because they can build a computer. On a political forum you end up attracting the P&N crowd where everyone think's their viewpoint on the world is correct. It applies to other forums too. This forum is very low on my scale of forums filled with flamers.
