Why are so many Wikipedia articles locked nowadays?

It's probably not 12 year olds mostly...sadly they have better things to do than the majority of wannabe politicians and the like that spend their entire adult lives online.

I think there have been a few threads here about bragging how they defiled an open wiki page.

If a man can't get laid, he has to vent his frustrations somewhere.

In a way yes, but when I get like that I am going out to a club, not hitting up Wikipedia to show 'them' how much I matter. 🙂

Maybe their parents still don't let them out after 10pm on a school night even though they are in their 20's now.
