Why are small tech-toys and the like so over packaged?

Because I'm just that good. ... well that and those are some of my favourite PA strips...

I got some biga$$ bone cutting scissors that I use for blister packs.

you don't scissor cut them, persay... you punch a hole all the way through, large enough to stick a couple fingers in... then you pull back in the center, away from the edges... it's just hard plastic... works best for me.

I generally pull out my knife & then proceed to butcher the package...

Got to think of it from a companies standpoint. Blisterpaks are probably the cheapest way to securly package and cushion an expensive product. It's got to be alot cheaper than boxes, normal padding, and pretty much anything else. That being said I HATE them with a passion. It took me 15 min to get into my Creative Zen Touch player... but I suffered no injuries so that was at least a minor victory.
