Why are recovery programs like SecondChance and GoBack not available for Windows 2000?

Powerquest's SecondChance Adaptec's GoBack are really
nifty programs that allow you to take snapshots of your
system and then return to the snapshot point if anything
subsequently goes wrong with your computer.

These are EXTREMELY useful for, e.g., trying out new
video drives. Install the new drivers. They make your
system unstable? No problem. You can return your system
ENTIRELY to the point before you installed them (no
matter how crappy the uninstall routine on the driver
package might be).

My question is: How come these packages are not available
for Windows 2000? Is it the lack of DOS support?
