Do you know why we think puppies and kittens are "cute"? It's a simple question, and I know the answer. Do you? :)

you bastard, you ruined it for everyone else :)

it's amazing though, how few people realize this. Isn't this proof of evolution?

I think it has more to do with "cuter" babies get more care and attention from the adults therefore increasing its chances of survival. Look at baby elephants for example.

Then why do polar bears eat baby polar bears? :(

Because they are hungry.

How is that proof of evolution? Couldn't we have been designed that way?

Well, it's not entirely true, since lions (for example) often kill cubs.

/edit: Don't be ridiculous, change the title back. I believe in evolution, but as a scientist it pains me to see you call this thread "proof."

you mean to like puppies? because there's an evolutionary line, which doesn't come from fish or snakes or insects. Right?.. I mean, we even made cute dog breeds to adore and love

I think the idea is that this is proof of evolution because evolution is messy and innacurate due to being driven in part by random chance. So, there are little "software bugs" in humans like thinking that kittens are cute even though kittens are not baby humans. If, on the other hand, God had created humans, then God with his omniscent powers and infinite clockspeed would have programmed a more precise and bug free program into the human brain.
