why are "programming" and "games" in the same forum?

it seems highly illogical to have these two grouped together.

"how do i do this in java"
and
"dood, what's the coolest game of the last 5 years"

just don't seem to go together.

Haha, that's funny stuff

Anyways, I would strongly agree. I would LOVE to have a programming forum, I think it would definitely help to spur conversation, whereas now it is stifled, due to being scattered among video game and software posts. There are a number of members who are programmers, however, the general "vibe" of anandtech doesn't seem conducive to programming and development, it's much more of a hardware and general chat board. Ho hum.

I would definitely agree also. A programming forum would be very good. :)

Maybe we could even convince the admins to enable the fixed-width formatting tag if a separate Programming forum was created.
