Why are people so stupid?

I think that generally, individuals are smart.. but people as a whole as SO GOD DAMM STUPID!!!

A - Sure, there's stupid people in this world....everyone knows that....B - That's what I disagree with. As for C, I just didn't understand how you could say the majority of people are stupid, but you said it doesn't apply to the people on the AT forums

Alright, fair enough. For C, it is possible that there are stupid people on the Anandtech forums, and the laws of probability make it almost certain, all I'm saying is that the purpose of this post isn't to insult/attack them specifically. Some people start threads to attack other people on the AT forums, and I was just making it clear that it wasn't my intention.

As for B, I guess it's a matter of opinion, but I personally tend to see stupidity on an hourly basis. I don't mean lack of knowledge, like not remembering who the 12th president of the US was. I'm speaking more of like stupidity as a lack of common sense type thing. I guess I did generalize, since I obviously can't go to each place in the world and examine their intelligence or lack thereof, but from the turnout in this thread I think it's safe to assume that stupidity is rampant.
