i dont think people come off being mean, but being that everything is typed the whole concept or body language ,if you will, is misread and taken wrong plenty of times. (see above...jk = just kidding, btw)

Secondly, we do a lot of &quot;toasting&quot;. Some of it is in good humor, some of it is of a pedagogical bent, some of it is mean. I don't think you should underestimate the importance of being mean to some of these guys. 🙂 Some of them actually need a large rubber mallet to be struck on or about their cranial cavity on a regular basis. Please feel free to take a whack, but protect yourself at all times.

I hate to say it but compared to 90% of most messageboards on the internet people here are all incredibly polite!

Seriously, I don't ind people here are all that mean. There are a few off posters who seem to delight in flaming everyone they can but they tend to be a rarity. It's just allot of the posters here are very opinionated, and can come across as being rude.

Stay a while longer, I'm sure you'll come to like it!
Besides, you'll be hard pressed to find another forum that has this level of knowledeable posters.
 
just human nature to put people down so that they can feel better about themselves..don't worry about it..their low self esteem will only hurt them in real life..this is online!
 
I came here originally because I heard the people here were mean to newbies and I wanted to see for myself. Sure, there are people that don't make it pleasant, but for the most part I've met a lot of cool people here. You have to learn to stick up for yourself or you'll just get walked on. 😀

Isn't it kinda weird that you are putting down mean people by saying they have a low self esteem. Do you not know the repurcussions of your own arrogant &quot;I'm nice so I'm OK&quot; attitude? Please don't generalize us mean people, my self-esteem is stewed to a perfection! I don't try to be mean half the time, it's just people don't see how much they avoid hypocrisy, yet they unknowingly do it themselves and give lame excuses for impunity.
 
I think I would enjoy this place a whole lot less if everyone wasn't so mean. Fvcking bastards! Every single one of you! 🙂

Besides, we all know no one is really serious and most of the members here would never stand up for themselves in Real-Life(tm) like they do on here. 😉
