I love Asus Probe,I always use it.

MBM is too much trouble & it's not worth it,with Asus probe you install & you're done no messing around.:cool:

I don't know why. I guess some motherboards using Probe give false readings. I have ASUS P4S533 m.b running probe 2.90.05 and got accurate readings. I took a radio shack temp probe and wanted too see how close probe readings were and they're right on or extremely close.

I use to run MBM on my Abit m.b and it was okay as well.

Just my dos centavos.

Asus PCprobe hasnt had real update in over 3 years ~ it could use a few extra features if ya ask me.

its still the best software to use on Asus boards tho :)

on my a7n8x, asus probe sucks because:

1) the cpu temperature is read by the socket, not the diode. so it's reading from the wrong sensor!

2) the cpu temp and the case temp are switched! at first i was so happy my cpu was at 28C full load! but when i noticed the case temp was way higher...doh!

3) the newest version 2.20.00 and the even newer 2.20.01 dont even install!!!! check it out here

speedfan is the best!!!! small program, less set up than MBM, and can slow down your fans!!

Well... PCProbe on two systems here. A7V8X & A7V333... Respectivly, I get 42c on PCP & 52c on MBM. The 133 runs at about 45c with MBM while PCP says the cpu is 2c higher than the MOBO temp which is generally 30 -33c.

Who do you think I'm going to believe? And I certainly don't base it upon which one is easier to install and configure!

I use Asus Probe and I get the same exact reading from it as I get from my bios and MBM.:D

I've tested Asus Probe on three or four different Intel Asus boards and got readings that are identical to MBM5 except for the voltages which are alway more accurate than what MBM5 is reporting.

I don't have any particular issues with it's accuracy, it's the interface that sucks. It's difficult to use productively compared to MBM5.

Plus speedfan gives you your HD SMART readings and I think it gives more acurate tempuratures also
