why are my irc downloads so slow?

i have cable internet.
and when I download from p2p apps, speeds are just fine. I can get anywhere from 6K to 120K downloads.
but when I use mirc and try to download stuff from mirc servers, my speeds are very very slow, (i'm talking about 4K and below).

What up with this? I used to download at faster speeds on the same connection, but lately it's been slow. And it can't be the servers i dl from, cuz everyone else gets faster speeds.

When you download things through MIRC, your not downloading from an Mirc Server, your downloading directly from the person/bot offering the file. That being said, try typing 'pdcc /9999999999999' and see if that speeds anything up....

dont complain about speed. They are providing you "free trials" on software, music, whatever. You just download.
