Why are kids games such peices of shyte!!

JESUS! I have like 10 kids games (Mickeys Mouse, Dora etc etc) and 3/4's of them dont freaking work on my system. Crash every time! Why are kids games so fvsking sh1tty?!
Does anyone else have this problem?? Or is it just Win2K?

Most of them were written for win98. So it's possible it's the win2k on your system.

But as a rule they DO suck.

Putt Putt series rocks though.

I've never understood that either. A bunch of them require you to lower your desktop resolution to 640x480x256 color to work, but they STILL don't work! Kids games are some of the biggest crapware around.

Ok. Just checkin, they frusturate me to no end. Its like they take the lowest bidder to make them, then tell the lowest bidder to STILL cut costs. And end up with a POS.
And its BASIC stuff! I mean damn, it isnt like these games are 3 CD sets or anything!

Reason they suck is because they take 1 week to create, develope and get on shelves. They cost the company like $100 to create and they are able to sell them to stupid consumers for like $10-$30 a piece. If they work. GREAT. If not, they know you will be calling them for support or just throw the game away and forget about it

I never played kiddy games. I was into Doom, Wolf 3d, Tie Fighter, Doom2, I mean im 20 now so that was over 10yrs ago. Hell i even remember father back with my old ibm 386 playing THE BLACK CAULDRON . anyone play that??

It's usually because kids games cost like $5, so they don't put much effort into them. Get your kid Quake 3 or Battlefield 1942!

I don't have much problems running kids games on either of my WinXP machines, nor did I have a problem on 98 when I used that OS. Get the Humungous sports games, they're cool enough you might want to play them.

Well, my kid is 3. he can play CS and Freelancer if I help him, but I sure cant turn him lose on "adult" games yet. He'll get waylaid quick.

ADULT as in Unreal 2 or Vice City or ADULT as in hanky panky games "Liesure Suit Larry style"

If you ask me CS is a pretty adult style game with realistic guns, terorists bombs etc
