why are intel 975 mobos so pricey?

I was just looking over at neweeg at the (4) 975 mobos they carry and the cheapest one is $215. why is it that this is so much more expensive than say nforce4 AMD counterparts?

haven't you learned, intel can jack up their prices because people know intel and think that AMD sucks, so they pay the premium so they can put a sticker on their computer case that says Intel Inside.

the upcoming Conroe Ready 965 chipset would be a better option .
