That's the way they were meant to be played when music came out on vinyl in the days when you listened to the whole album.

I have the original vinyl for this and other led zep albums. I was just wondering if there was a reason for this.

Because Eruption is a short instrumental that leads into You Really Got Me. Van Halen has played it that way in concert many times.

Seems like the Zeppelin II tape I have has the song Thank You outro into a keyboard instrumental, then Living Loving Maid starts abruptly, but not right after Heartbreaker like you hear on the radio.

It isn't like the radio version on the box set, either.
