I'm not speaking for the whole country, but at least here in California where I thought we'd get the most ROYAL of screwings when that pipeline broke.............I'm noticing the prices have been going DOWN for the last couple weeks, not up.

????

Summer's coming to a close, so less vacation driving, so demand goes down, and prices follow? I know summer has traditionally been a high-demand time for gasoline.

the pipeline never broke, they just shut down like 20% of it... its still like 80% open.

also, its the end of summmer, demand is dropping.
less turmoil in the middleeast, the stoppage of the terrorist plot.

and many many other things.

Don't worry, it will be up 30 cents by the end of the month due to:
The iran nuclear thing
Labor Day weekend
Hurricane worries

I am surprised how low it is also. I saw 2.729 here today (MI), just 2 weeks ago it was something like 3.15 I think.

The northwest undoubtedly got hit the hardest. We saw an immediate 15 cent per gallon jump when it happened.
