why are firewire/usb combo cards so expensive?

the cheapest one I could find was around $70....I bought a usb 2.0 pci card with 5 ports for $15.00 and 2 port firewire card for $10.00....what are these people doing charging that much for a combo card?

Dunno. I think I've seen them come it at less than $20 before from wholesalers, and Pricewatch lists USB 2.0/Firewire combo cards starting at $29. That's more than buying two inexpensive cards costs, but not totally outrageous.
