Maybe they shouldn't forward calls to police barracks, but have a person who handles those calls.

yeah why did the call go directly to the trooper? I thought all 911 calls go to the call center/dispatchers?

I completely agree that this guy is a loser and should be fired.

But what about the Delta Airlines Stewartess that was fired over some "sexy" pictures of her in the Delta Airlines uniform posted on the web?? They weren't even sexy, but they fired her.

What pisses me off is - A lot of people will get fired that didn't deserve to be, and then others who deserve to get fired aren't. This is most common in law enforcement BTW.

It's very difficult to objectively quantify the amount of justified terminations vs. questionable ones. Sadly, anecdotes of unjust firings are what people want to see on the evening news these days - so that's often what reporters spend so much time and effort scavenging for. The many hundreds/thousands of justified terminations rarely make headlines unless there is a juicy retaliation or sabotage story involved.

the shop I worked at wasn't.

I was going back to highschool, they needed someone to replace me, so they stated bringing people in from a temp agency for me to train.

One guy showed up an hour + half late, my boss told him to leave.

How to properly ask the boss for a vacation when you're a State Trooper:

"Well, I just booked a 15 day trip on Expedia.com so let me get the next 911 call."
