So is your small brain. Should we outlaw that?

What a loser! His brain must be fried from all of the drugs he takes. :Q

I'm on your side about drugs, but if you're going to join a serious discussion you should use more than cartoon catch phrases and unfounded insults.

Oh puhleeze this is just a friggn' OT chat forum on an electronics website.

So that automatically disqualifies it from harboring an intelligent conversation about an important social issue? Just because the majority of people floating around here are shallow-minded simpletons like yourself doesn't mean that we all have to be. If you're going to join an argument, know what the hell you're talking about and have some semblence of evidence that will support your claims.

You take yourselves far too seriously and evidently have way too much time to waste here instead of actually doing something constructive. BTW who's calling names now? Get a life! 😉

Some things in life are serious. Taking important issues seriously and doing something about them is what makes up a worthwhile life. Life isn't all about fun & games. Sometimes you have to fight for what you believe in in order to make the world a better place.

So I'm wasting my time by posting my opinions here, but you're not? I'm a full-time college student and I'm applying to a Police Department in order to start a career of public service. What are you doing that's so constructive?

Hell, at least I haven't spent half my life trolling here, over 20,000 posts! Like I said, Get a Life! 😉

The way you're posting I don't see you lasting here for 20,000 posts. Have you stopped to think that perhaps this is a "getaway" from many of our member's busy schedules? Sometimes people just want to come home from work and/or school and just unwind by posting something funny or debate an issue with people they can relate to. Either stop posting in this thread or find something meaningful to say.

You call your posts "meaningful"? What a laugh, like I said, you take yourselves too seriously, like you're Aristole or Plato or something. Sheesh, get a grip.

Your brilliant reference to the two most famous philosophers ever has forced me to decide to recant my previous statements. You obviously have a wealth of knowledge and simply choose not to exercise it so you don't make us proles feel inferior. Thank you.

Oh, by the way, could you explain to me in your own words how Christianity is basically Platonic theory? I'd really appreciate input from such an educated individual. If you consider yourself more of a Peripatetic feel free to apply Aristotle's opinions as well.

Let me guess...you're the head of a debate team. Your skills are unmatched, grasshopper. It was foolish of me to proceed.

You're a moron.

Now, you two kiss and make up.

Edit: Happy?

I can't believe that anyone would think that if getting pot were as easy as walking up to a shop and paying $15, people would continue to say no. As it is you have to REALLY want to get off your stupid little stoner mind to go get drugs... the huge hassle involved in getting your hands on an illegal product is enough to discourage a huge number of people who might otherwise be tempted.

And as for this "pot doesn't hurt anybody" argument... well, I'm not even going to reply to it.

I haven't done it in over two years, but seriously it is pretty darn easy to get. I was walking down the street in a really nice part pf town on a visit to Philly and a guy asked me if wanted some. It wouldn't have been hard to get at all.

one reason why they are illegal is b/c it is hard for the govnm't to tax them. They make more money with controlling them. It is all about the $$$. The reason why alcohol isnt touched is b/c of prohibition the govnm't for some reason will not go that route again i guess b/c they do control it. Tobacco at the time from 1920's till about the 90's was a very big cash crop for the US. But who knows with all the regulations about smoking what will happen.

The government makes no money by making it illegal, they only spend money.

Wrong the govmn't makes money with other countries and anti-drug campaigns. You really dont know how the govmn't works do you? By them stopping it from hitting the streets the agency makes money for the bust.

Government operates in a way that is the opposite of the conventional business model. It "makes" money when it spends money. Government managers figure their importance and power from the size of their budgets.

I don't disagree entirely. I'd have to say that people shouldn't smoke marijuana in public, however, due to the effect it can have on others. Before you reply, I feel the same way about cigarettes. If it effects others negatively, it should be restricted (at least to an extent). I don't have any major problem with someone lighting up a J in their own home.

Secondhand marijuana smoke doesn't have the same negative effects that secondhand cigarette smoke does.
BTW the tobacco lobby is of course one of the groups keeping MJ illegal.

And secondhand cigarette smoke doesn't have the same possitive effecst that secondhand marijuana smoke does 😀 I can understand how people who do not smoke ganja would not want to catch a contact from being in a closed area with a toker.
