Why are company bonuses taxed extra?

It makes no difference except on how the salary and bonus is paid.
IF classified as earned income; you get taxed.
the only benefit of being at the ultra high bracket is that the SS is no longer applied.

Unlike some people, the quoted poster is a liberal fool, that does not understand difference between taxes paid at the end of the year vs taxes withheld on each paycheck

He also doesn't understand transfer pricing and tax provisions but then again who does

My overall total tax is around 30-33%.

But I noticed company bonuses are taxed much more, about 38~40%?

Why is this so? You are making the same income and bonuses aren't even guaranteed.

I don't even know how to respond to this question ...


When you file our taxes next year everything will be made right ... or wrong.
