Oh noes...I've been flamed by a newbie...
WWYBYWB?
Around here, the Hmong gangs are into all sorts of shit. Drugs, car theft, you name it. Maybe in Norman Oklahomie they're nicer, better behaved kids...
FWIW, my personal experience with the Hmong people is good. I fought along side many of them in Vietnam and other parts of Uncle Sam's IndoChinese vacation wonderland. Good people, perhaps the fiercest Communist-hating fighters I knew at the time. Quite often, they had lost entire families to the Communists...and had a level of hatred we Americans didn't have. (although boot camp did a good job of teaching us to hate the "gooks."
I had a good deal of respect for those fine Hmong warriors. Their Americanized kids...not so much.
I'm glad to hear that your dad came home in one piece. Many didn't. Many either came home missing lots of parts & pieces, or else came home with severe PTSD. Some of the things seen in war can't be unseen...some things should NEVER be seen by a sentinent human being. It changes you...not always for the better.
Tell him Boomer says, "Welcome Home." (that's something we didn't get when we returned from that war.)
Perhaps I am a psychopath...or perhaps I have zero tolerance for that sort of behavior. Screeching is not acceptable to me in any form.
Actually, I DO "let live." I haven't killed anyone that I'll admit to in more than 38 years...well...except for that one time in Oldsmoboat's basement...but we never talk about that...
